Re aquascaped the tank today. Not sure what I think of it yet.Added a about #25 of Marco and #25 of dry base rock from Kathyc. Both were soaked in bleach then a muriatic acid bath followed by a week of drying out. Added that to an existing 100 pounds of live rock.Thoughts and ideas welcomed. First pic is before.the rest are after

Looking good :) Is there open space under/within the rocks?

Can you get a mag float between the rocks and the sides of the tank? If not, you're going to have to move them away from the edges so you can clean the glass.

One other thing...you have fish in there that are prone to jumping - especially that long nosed hawk fish :( We need to get you a cover made asap!!

Thanks Kathy. The pictures are a little deceiving but yes I can get a mag float all the way around to clean the glass. And there is plenty of room for the fish to swim in and out of the rocks a little more so on the right side island in my opinion but both are pretty open. I know I definitely need to make myself a screen cover ASAP had one on the old tank but haven't made one for this tank yet. Also probably going to pick up another powerhead or two to increase flow behind the backside of the rocks

I like the look of the two rock islands.
It's hard to tell in the pics but they look a little packed together. I like there to be flow between as many rocks as possible. I raise rocks by placing one rock on a base of two or three but the base rocks are not touching each other, if that makes sense.

thanks for all the positive feedback guys. i definitely like it alot more than the last setup. its just hard visualizing it after the rocks all change color and become alive. i guess i will just have to wait and see. the rocks are pretty open theres definitely enough room for the fish to swim. plan on adding a couple more powerheads to add some more flow
