:headache: I was over at Alex's ( my kumpadres ) house the other day assisting him move his livestock to a bigger tank. Water was drained using 4 different containers and when we were we were transferring the water to his new tank, we realized that one of the containers used had sugar in it. If anyone had the same experience, please let us know what effect it would have for the livestock. lmk please. tks.

People actually use sugar to bring down their nitrates. To much will make your tank very cloudy and probably start most of your corals to melt away.

There is a thread on RC where some one little daugther poured a bowl of sugar into his tank and basically killed everything. It looked like it was snowing in the tank and everything was sticky.

things finally settled and all the fishies and corals look happy. i guess it's not too bad at all to put sugar in your tank LOL. just don't put too much though.
