I found this poping out of a rock the other day. Any ideas as to what it is ?

Looks like a mouth dead center and it seems to be coming out of a stalk. the diameter is around 5mm

Looks like a juvenile Condylactis gigantea (anemone). If you look at page 377 of The Reef Aquarium VII, you will see it.

UPDATE This little critter has grown some in the past 5 months. Should I get rid of it or keep watching it. It doesnt seem to be bothering anything at this point in time

WOW, what camera are you using? it kicks ass. I would say it is an anemone, but whether it's good or bad I wouldn't care that thing looks awesome...let me know if it splits :division:
