Return pump for 40 breeder

What return pump would you use for a 40 breeder with a 30 gal sump (70g total)?

The mar inland pump are good and quite. The size depend on how much flow you want through your sump. Around 600 gph should be good.

I'd go with the marineland 4500 and gate it back.

Can't remember the one I had but it died, so I bought a triton 5 I think it is and it died in te first month. Horrible, like a old alternator I had to hit it with a hammer and it started up lol but died again

You won't have that problem with a marineland. I ran 4. One on my skimmer and one as a return and 2 for my reactors for 2 years and never cleaned them. Always performed flawlessly and were quiet.

I've got one and love it. Built in valve controls flow, so no need for a ball valve plumbed inline. Its got suction cup feet and plenty of power. Its also one of the quietest pumps I've ever used.

No the 4500 is green and grey they're called euro pumps.
