Swap Frag/Equipment Donation

MR wants your frags and miscellaneous dry good/equipment items!

We are able to run our events through the generous donations from our membership, so this is our formal request for donations for our upcoming 2013 Spring Frag Swap. These items will be sold in the selling bins at the front of the room (next to the raffle table) throughout the day.

So what can you frag from your tank and bring along?

Post away, so members can get an idea of what to expect.

All donations are greatly appreciated, from beginner corals to those sweet LE ones and anything in between! We also accept donations of equipment - anything needed to run a SW tank - all will be greatly appreciated.

Do not forget to label the item with your MR screenname & what the item is (name, color, size...).

Donations will be going to manhattanreefs.com. You should post on this thread what you are donating. Items that are donated will be sold at the swap for great prices to any member interested in them.

So everyone please post what you will be donating to the swap to support this great Manhattan reefs Community.

Listing items that you're going to bring here just gives us an idea of what we're going to have and what we can use for Frag Demos and such. Also, just because you don't post what you're going to donate doesn't mean that you can't still bring donations right to the swap. Just bring them to the donation table, which will be marked in the front.

Also, any used equipment that you aren't using or may want to get rid of will be accepted too, as someone may need it so it will go to a good cause.

We determine who gets what pieces by a first come first serve basis. We also give away free corals for people just starting out. The items that we use in the frag demos are distribute to members that are around the demo, and there are usually plenty to go around so everyone will usually get a frag of what is being cut up.

Im kinda new to this... but if donations are given to MR, why in turn sell them? Why not just give them away. Please explain?

Donations are used to support the site, which is free to all...

However... there are MANY MANY items that are given to swap attendees... Everyone goes home with something !

hey guys as already mentioned, we will take any and everything you all are willing to donate. These items will be sold as already mentioned at the swap and this money will help fund the site which is free to us. Lets all dig some stuff up from corals, dry goods and equipment. I will be donating a used Red Sea Max 35 Gallon tank and stand. Needs a light cleaning along with new bulbs and one pump. I'm sure it will clean up nicely and someone can make good use of it ! See you all there. Neil
