How many inches of mud do u have? and does airstone help?
There is probably 3in of mud. Airstone works IMO. Breaks up gases trapped in Chaeto

Does the airstone cause any bubbles to go to the return pump chamber?
Im seriously thinking of giving miracle mud a chance. worse case scenario Ill use it as regular substrate and change it over a course of time...best case - my SPS and other corals will look more stunning then without it :groupflip
Doesn't miracle mud have to be replaced every two years or so? I'd be afraid when it's time to replace because you would disturb everything in the refugium. Just my 2 cents. Has anyone had a problem when replacing the mud?
Yes it does. It's very easy to do. I replaced mine with no problems. Just have to turn return off for a little while so cloudiness goes away
Ok, seems easy enough. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
There's a company called FloridaPets that sells it I guess collected from Florida, $30 for cheap.
