Bulk Head Wrench

Any one have one of these I could borrow for a day or so? Or have an alternative? I tightened them by hand but cant tighten them enough to not leak.

Looking for 1" and a 3/4" sized wrench.

Preferably in the mid to northern BK area.

Not 'exactly' sure, but I thought they should only be hand tightened and then maybe another 1/2 turn... I use a XL pair of channel lock pliers

Unsure, i got four with the deep blue tank but they kept getting stuck when i was just testing them out. The one got so stuck and I had to drive to fishtown yesterday to buy another.

Im going to home depot later, so ill check out the channel lock pliers.

got a channel lock you could use, you are looking to do like quarter-half turn not more

if your going to hd your better off with a strap wrench.

I would strongly recommend ditching the deep blue bulk heads. They are not great.

Get rid of the DB bulkheads. I always do. Also the wrench if you're talking about the x shaped wrench I stopped using them also. I had 3 tanks that leaked. They will flex and slip off the bulkheads before they are really tight enough sometimes.

Channel locks are the way to go. As stated already hand tight plus 1/2 turn or so.

I got a 150 DB and my friend at the store told me the same thing. So I ditched them.
Which stand are you using for your DB tank? If you are using the same stand I strongly suggest either have someone build one for you or do a DIY. DB stand suck! I'm sure ppl would agree with this statement. Lol

reddit. thats where i get all of them.

I manned up and used my fingers to tighten it slightly and it seems ok for now. Going to fill up the over flows fully tonight to see if every thing is good.

I totally agree deep blue bulk heads suck.

Which stand are you using for your DB tank?

I bought a custom stand.

Im 6'2 and I cant handle stands that are 28-30" high. The one i have is 40"

I recently build my stand for my tank and its 40 inches high. Isnt it so much better than bending over to look at the tank! LOL:smokin:
