Hey folks. I just did a 20 gallon water change. I use ESV salt. My tank is a 120 gallon mixed reef with a 5" sand bed. I use Eotech Radion LED's. My dKH is at 10.0. How do I bring it down to 8.0-8.2? I tested my water this morning with brand new Salifert test kits. My results are below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Calcium 460
Mag 1350
KH 10.0dKH
PO4 0
NO3 2.5
PH 8.2
Temp 78.6
Salinity 1.025

are you dosing anything?
if not, the next time you mix the esv, use less part a of the liquid and test the water and adjust as needed before doing the water change. a few times and the alk will come down slowly.
part a is the alk and part b is the cal.
however 10 is in an acceptable range (7-10 are fine).

78.6 in vegas? what size chiller are you using?.....lol

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it. The only things running on my tank are, a calcium reactor, carbon reactor, and Phosban reactor. I also use a Super Reef Octopus skimmer.
I keep the house at 72 all year, and the tank stays in the 77.5-78.8 range all year long. I have a chiller just in case, but I don't use it.
Thanks again.

I wouldn't worry about it Jesse. 10 dKH is fine with Ca of 460. Just dose a little less 2-part and they both will come down a bit.
Thank you. I don't really dose anymore. Ever since I started using a calcium reactor, and ESV salt, the only thing I dose occasionally, is Magnesium. Everything else stays pretty stable.
