Which skimmer would be good?

I'm getting a biocube 29 in a few days and have been looking at the CPR SR3 protien skimmer. Apparently it is made for the biocube and fits perfectly in the second chamber. This could help me achieve my goal of biweekly water changes. I was wondering if anyone recommends something else or has used this skimmer.

i wouldnt buy anything from swc, plus his stuff isnt really his stuff, you can find his skimmers on the chinese site that had just been re-badged

IMO skimmers aren't really necessary on tanks that size. You can easily do a 20% or greater WC every two weeks and maintain great water quality. I found running one when I had a JBJ nano of similar size to make no difference at all.

I wouldnt go with a skimmer for the second chamber. I had to maintain a constant water level with a Tunze I had for it to work properly when it was in the second chamber. Got an Aquaticlife 115 that fits in the first chamber and have never had an issue with it

Check out mediabaskets.com they have some good nano stuff for that tank.

Waleedwale1: www.mediabaskets.com is definitely the site I would check out. I don't know much anout that CPR skimmer so I can't give you an opinion on it. Also, do you have the older Oceanic or newer Coralife BioCube29 because that makes a difference as well
