So I bought a tiger pistol shrimp, about 2 inches for 20 dollars. I come home and start drip acclimating it for about 45 minutes. Then I am about to put him back in the bag for him to temp acclimate when he makes a loud click and I freak out and put him in the tank instead. The temperature difference was about 4-5?degrees. He ran between the rocks and hasn't come out since. Is this going to put him into shock? Will he recover?

Maybe you should get used to the 'loud click' if you're keeping a pistol shrimp

You need to be careful with which pistol shrimp you have. I got one that grew too big and dug everywhere in my tank. Claiming the lives of a yashahasi goby and few other things. Shrimp and crabs. They are awesome I had to remove a beautiful yellow white and red one but now have my Randall's. good luck man.
