What is the best approach to getting an abundant amount of green mushrooms off of some LR? I know I can stick it in some freshwater for a bit, but I have so many little feather dusters and sponges on the LR as well and I dont want to hurt them.

I had a nano and had to get rid of all the rocks and start fresh. They spread fast. Had a few hundred take over

Thats whats happening to me!

I may just soak the rock in some freshwater for a few hours to kill everything. I guess I will just do 1 rock/week or something like that.

With a pair of bone cutters, you can remove the mushrooms with a tiny piece of rock attached and sell them, rather than killing them.
Or you could sell the entire rock/s to someone on here or trade it in at your LFS for new rock/store credit.

Why kill corals??

I have so many mushrooms, its unreal. Its on almost every rock in my tank. I will try my LFS and see if they will do any sort of trade. Also, I am willing to trade the shroom covered rock for some clean rock of equal size!

I have them in my tank and it seems like over night they are everywhere. I have a alge mower I dont mind them but dont like if they mess up my sps so what I do is I hit it on the edge with mower on the side that I want it to stop growing it seems to keep them at bay without killing them!!!

I will try hydrogen peroxide on the rocks I cant remove. I have already tried to scrape some off with a razor, with little luck. They are in the crevices and super hard to get off. I have a soldering iron already and will try that on a smaller rock and rinse it off in fresh SW.

So, I have been looking into the zappers. I am an electronics engineer and feel as though I can easily make one. I am going to try to peroxide first, but if that fails....zapper it is.
