Splicing zoas?

I read a article where they slice a zoa in half and spliced it with a different one and they mended together ..Has anyone ever done this or know of any more write ups on this?

Never heard of this before and I would think it would melt and die if sliced

u sure was Zooas ? or anemone. I don't think is possible, big chance to get Poly all over.

Thats pretty cool.I wish I had a band saw I would slice 2 acan heads in half.

There are cases I read, though I don't remember where, of stony corals falling and landing on others. When they came in contact, the dinoflagelates from one contaminated the other and infected it, causing a color change. I think it was in the Natural reef aquariums book, though I don't have a copy with me right now.
