Recently I got tired of my tank and was going to sell it, then decided to keep it and am back into doing regular maintenance with the exception of water changes.
I havent done a water change in almost 6 months. however, I do dose additives based on needs after running full spec of test.
My tank is the healthiest it's been since i put it up (tank is now running since april) I have a couple SPS's but mostly LPS dominated tank. My corals are growing and I have 9 fish and they are very happy.
I see people here who do water changes once a week and post about people stressing about how important they are. I havent done one in months.
My question is, why are water changes important if your levels are good, your corals are growing and your fish are happy.
Side note, i will be doing a water change (30% over the weekend) and dont plan on doing the next till may
