How much do you value a name brand? I see a name i automatically prepare for an increase in price. IMO he was someone who's coral were " hot" or sexy" but not so much now. Not with all the farms just selling corals. It's not as selective as it was. I see mom an pop shops carrying some real "crazy" colored coral for prices that are a heck of a lot cheaper, those stores just don't know what they have or got. The RADE or PPE and hornets are just a way to inflate price. The argument " the color pattern, the time to reproduce" all play a part in cost. If one believes that then so be it of it helps lay your head on the pillow. I have coral that are the same species of zoa and acros but they came on a Bali- indo clay plug or disk but no name attached and I'm ok with that. I don't need to be the swinging d***k in the name brand group. In the end, It's your hobby and your money it's only as valuable as you think it is or as much as you want to pay.

Just understand what you are paying for.

Your paying for the introduction, quality, health, color, & the length in time these corals have been successfully propagated in aquariums vs wild colonies.... That statement alone can be broken down so many ways depending on what vendor we are talking about.

+1 Jonny.

Most sps now sold with crazy names ppl are selling were maricultured at one point and have adapted to thrive in aquariums. Your paying for that effort and time, think of it this way you can buy a SSC colony from bali now and have it die on you in 1 month, or instead pay for one that has adjusted to aquarium conditions from a hobbyist or lfs.

Just my opinion

We'll to end this argument right now, look at oculus they are out of business trying to sell red dragon acros and purple frost and all the other frags they tried to sell wholesale and that didn't work. They even tried to transship to save themselves. The fact remains all the coral that got branded means nothing blue light flooding coral and now led blue flooding morphs corals like crazy. From merit imports to Russo to farm direct out of aussi and bali to Vietnam. They all come from the ocean. People went crazy for pink lemonade I can get that in colony size pieces and frag them down and make a boat load of frags in fact some of the pieces from rt 66 and Paf imports has a lot of coral that because it has a name now the wholesaler and farms want more money. Some people have better insight then most in this business.

IMO JF Corals are overrated and grossly overpriced. I bought a JF Elictric Kool-Aid Chalice off another member that bought it directly from Jason. I have had it for almost two years, and it won't color up to what it shold be or grow. While moving and having other problems it was also in two other tanks for some time and the same thing looks terrible.

So there is no difference between Jason Foxs Fast Money and Radioactive Dragons eye? Is one more likely to survive then the other? Does Jason Fox warranty his corals?
