About your transfer.. You need at least 2 or 3, 44 gallon brute pails as temporary holding tanks. Move your 65. Setup your 220 and thats when it gets tricky. You will need at least 250 gallons of new saltwater at the same salinity & temperature. Sand and Rock are your next issue because you more then what your 65 contains.

I have room to move my 60g and keep it running until the 220 is ready. I was thinking when I do my water changes on both my 60's. To just dump the water in the 220 so it can cycle faster. I do have a big brute container on stand by if I need for live rocks etc.

I would set up two brutes with a heater- drain water and fill brutes . remove your coral and put them in one, remove 1/2-3/4 of your rock and move that into another brute along with your fish. Then Id get some friends and lift your 65 and move it to its temp home. Then run a diatom filter on the 65 and start transferring your rock back into it along with your coral. Then get your 220 up and running. Make new water, new sand and a scoop of your old sand and some of your old live rock with rock rubble in your sump. Add some beneficial bacteria and watch for a spike if any.

Decided to start on the build. Gave the tank a bath. Razor Blade, water holes, and a little bit of elbow grease. Even got the Mrs to pitch in

Today's the day that I moved the 60g cube to another spot to make room for the 220g.
