Aiptasia Hitchhacker found

So looking closely at my live rock I found a tiny aiptasia. I would hate to have to pull the rock out to kill the thing. Any suggestions?

If you could pull the rock I would suggest you do that..

spray lemon juice on it with medicine syringe ive don that many times with success in my old tank

I'm in the same boat as you, tank is just finishing it cycle and found a couple of small Aptasia. They were still small so I've squirted with lemon juice because that was all I had on hand. Has been ok for 3-4 days they have not grown back. Not sure if it will work for larger ones.

In any event, I also ordered Aptasia X just in case.

Went with the peppermint shrimp (2x) and a cleaner shrimp. Figured I would try this before adding any chemical treatment(s). Plus it gives a nice look to the tank. Will keep you posted.

aiptasia 0 - peppermint shrimp 1

It's only been about 16 hrs and the one head I saw is gone already. Shrimp s went to work during lights off.
