Whats wrong with my MP40w? i took it out the tank to clean it from all the algea and other stuff that was on it and when i put it back into the tank the light was blinking red. What can this be? I never had this problem before. I keep turning it on and off and nothing is happening. Please give me advice on what i should do.

Did you dismantle the wet side completely, I.e take the nut off the threaded shaft, pull the ceramic bushing out ? If you don't put the ceramic bushing and spacer and clear nylon washer back correctly it can hang up. Also if you don't put the nut on the threaded shaft all the way their will be play if you screw it down to tight you put some torque on the impeller and bushing/spacer. Also if the shaft is loose the dry side magnet can pull the wet side magnet causing drag which the controller will pick up and throw an error. I have had these happen to me after rushing to put them back together. I have found, if just the right amount of drag happens the controller will throw an error .

Try removing the wet side and see if it stops flashing red, the next step is to check the impeller and make sure it's spinning freely, if its not check the magnet to make sure it is not swollen... Your next option is to disassemble and reassemble it again, maybe soaking overnight in some vineger..... Good luck

My wires came loose and had the same blinking light. Eventually sent it back to Eco tech and they repaired wiring a gave me a new wet side. Had no other option but pay about 150 to get it fixed
