Cyano outbreak need suggestions

I used kz cyano clean with good results but it takes a few weeks to work. Its a bacteria that out competes the slime algae. I have a 30 gallon mixed reef and used the stuff aggressively with no side affects. I add a few drops once a week now as preventative maintenance

Cyano solution or Chemi-Clean. Both have worked for me. Just make sure you do as big of a water change as possible 24-48hrs after dosing.

slime away says not to do water change. Should I do one anyway?

I've never used slime away. Just follow the package instructions. You won't be any worse off. If it doesn't get rid of the cyano, try the next method. I know with CyanoSolution and ChemiClean, they both recommend at least a 20-30% WC 48hrs after dosing. Those 2 products have worked for me in the past. That's all I know.

Keep an eye on your ph and alk

PH has been a steady 8.1 haven't checked alk. Everything seems to be good except my tangs got stressed and are showing ich. Not to worried about that I have a home remedy that works like a charm. Will keep an eye out on the PH thought thanks.
