Flame Angelfish Eaten By Bubble Coral

My flame angelfish has been being bullied by my pink square anthias for over a month but still fine until my yellow tang began to sting him as well. I don't know how this began they were fine for months. Signs have shown that the flame angelfish was weakening. Any ideas on why this occurred? Btw, this was around 3:50 AM when the reef is asleep ... So I thought

I think that green brittle star probably is eating the flame. Once a fish is chased around and beat up it becomes easy prey for other animals.

Yup, had one of those stars at the beginning of my reefing career and one night I saw the same, it caught my yellow tang. Luckily I was able to separate them, yellow tang recovered and the green star was given away for free.

I just bought that starfish yesterday! I was told it's reef safe and good addition to clean crew. Petland doesn't accept refunds either, I had no idea.

Green serpent star = midnight fish killer. Do your research before you buy. Never rely on LFS employees to give you their opinion. Especially Petco employees. MOST, are just high schoolers that are there for a job, with no real interest or knowledge of reefkeeping.
