I continuously monitor pH with a Pinpoint pH meter. My probe drifts several hundred units over night. Maybe this is normal for a hobby pH probe. As a consequence, I calibrate frequently. However, I would calibrate it frequently anyway because being continuously submerged in an aquarium, the glass probe gets covered with bacteria, algae, and chemical residues pretty quickly and you do not necessarily see this happening. Frequent cleaning is important.
Thanks guys I figured every few weeks, mine is mounted in my sump and has been running for about a month . Its starting to collect stuff on it as well so this weeks water change I guess I'll be calibrating . Thanks
