A peace of my rbta got sucked into my tunze 6025 power head it did not get choped up it just stuck in the grating I powered down the power head, and took the front part off.

Will the rbta work its way out on its own or do I need to cut the grating on the power head to free it?

It will def pull itself out. just give it time.

I dont recommend keeping anemones with open grate pumps. Anemones are attracted to flow and this is always a danger of nuking a tank

I had mine chopped up by my mp10 and it nuked my tank. I had to do water changes every other day for almost two weeks. I had no clue that could happen safe to say no more rbta's for me not worth the time bombs they are. But they are so pretty ! Lol

I'm glad to hear yours is improving! After losing mine, I was able to get another beautiful, huge Sebae from someone on this site. It's in a 55g specimen tank with no power heads.

I have had rbta's for over 10 years this is the first time somthing like this happen the power head was off for a few days because the impeller went bad. I think it just moved to close to the powerhead that was off then when I installed the new power impeller he was to close to the intake I moved the powerhead away from it now and all doing well
