who makes custom tanks near LI?

hey all, I am looking for a standard 120 gallon. Before I purchase one from Deep Blue, perfecto, or other company, I want to explore my options for a higher end tank.

Does anyone have a good company for a rimless star fire front 120 gallon? I do not have the budget for a 2-3k tank but would like one priced out before committing.

Im located in Long Island.

I got estimates from multiple glass tank builders and I got estimate not less then what you have mentioned above.... So I went with Plywood tank.....

Glass cages made one for philyd1 for @ $800.00, they used 3/4 starfire for the front, and reg 3/4 glass back, bottom and sides, tank was really nice

I've heard good things about Aquavim, but I don't have any personal experience with their products.

james, due to your budget... I would have to say you would be limited down to prefab tanks (whether used or new). custom glass builds are expensive, especially with using starfire. custom builders do not get the same glass pricing as their purchasing is not in bulk as larger companies so the discount tier is less.
But I wish you the best in luck in locating a builder that can build based on your budget.

Might get some mix reviews on Acrylic Tanks. But lately hearing about glass tank cracking , leaking. Making me look at all option myself. Lost great deal of trust lately for glass tanks. Never had a problem but looking at my DB it's so thin. Nothing like old Oceanic tanks. But here is a link and there are plenty more online to check. So another option to look into.

I bought my glass from Bear glass in Brooklyn, They have really good prices for glass and they can cut the glass for you. They have very fair prices even for starphire. I bought glass from them that is 48"x30" 1/2" tempered and cost of the glass was 138 and I paid 30 for shipping but I was given choice to pick it up from their store as well but I choose to have it shipped. Turn around time was week.

So, maybe tell us who build your tank this way you'll not put all custom tank builders on the same shelf. If you had bad experience with somebody who build your custom tank you should point your warning that direction imho.
Or tell us something more about your tank... I would like to know who build your stand/cabinet as well. Are you 100% positive that was tank builder fault? Maybe it was your fault cause your cabinet was not leveled properly or to weak to hold the tank?
