Dual chamber Calcium or single chamber.

Hello everyone I was wondering if there is any real diff between a single chamber Calcium reactor or dual chamber.
Any opinions are welcomed.

I have read that the second chamber scrubs the CO2 from the water. I notice that the media rarely gets depleted in mine (MTC pro-cal)

i will go 2 , more efficient, less CO2 into the main tank. pick MTC great reactors.

I noticed that as well with my old setup. That's why some times I believe that's a bunch of bs. The ph lvl out of the second chamber is the same as the first. After all the first chamber feeds the second.

I modified my first chamber, by putting a PH probe in it to control the PH where the CO2 is, because IME , by the time you measure the output from the reactor, the first chamber could have gotten way too low, and melt the media too quickly - turning it to mush.

Also, I always found it strange that the second chamber does not dissolve at a rate that is even close to the first chamber.... strange to me ?

I have a MRC dual and the PH is about the same from each chamber. The real advantage is I don't have to change the media as often if it was just a single and also is able to handle a higher bio-load,
