no water change or garlic wpnt help. Google ich its a parasite not a bacteria. You must have ontroduced it on another fish, you shou' quarantine the fish before you let them in you display tank. Och lives on the fish and once the fish is stressed ich comes out cause it can now attack the fish. Ich goes for the slime that protects the fish and then movws on to the gills. While its on the fish its multiplyimg and falling of th fish and spredding on other fish. The only way to cure your tank is get another qt tank and catch all your fish an put it in there. Ich needs about 8 weeks with no fish then ot dies i would give it 11 weeks just to be sure.

Uv sterilizer won't help either. What kind of fish do you have ? Ich can live and be present for years on fish and then out of nowhere come out. Each fish you introduce to a tank needs to be quarantined in copper to be safe that you don't get ich. Or if you don't want to use copper you can raise the temp in qt tank and lower the salinity as ich hates that. How big is your tank ? Tangs are notorious for ich and are very easy to catch ich.

Ok, well if you want to cure you're clown you need to copper treat you clown, but make sure you do it somewhere else other than your display tank. But the longer you wait the bigger chance you will lose him and infest the tank as ich multiplies very fas. I lost my whole tank in matter of one week and I have 105 gallon.

I had an ich problem with my flame angel, all I did was soak the food in garlic. eventually if the ich doesn't host on any other fish it dies off on its own.. 2 1/2 yrs later the flame angel is doing fine and so are the other fish that were in the tank at the time.. My opinion is give it a shot the worse that will happen is you're out $5

I had problems with ich when i first started my tank. QT'ed all my fish in copper for 6 weeks put everyone back in and my hippo showed a few small specks so I fed them 2 times a day with garlic xtreme and selcon mixed in their frozen food and it all went away. Just recently I put in a ruby red dragonet with out Qt and all my tangs got ich feed them good 2 times a day with garlic xtreme and selcon mixed in their frozen food and it is all gone again. Garlic and selcon don't kill the ich they just make the immune system of the fish stronger so they can fight it off. Ich is present in almost all tanks or at least that's what I hAve read. If you fish are eating fine I would first try some garlic and selcon for at least a week and watch him closely and if it appears that his condition is getting worse or if you see the ich closer to his gills you will have to take him out and qt him. Don't waste your money on any of the ich treatments that are out there! they do NOT work believe me I have tried them all because I was to lazy to make a QT. Good luck and keep us posted.

I know garlic doesn't kill ich......I was being silly.....hard to believe people believe it though.....ich is in every single tank that has been expose to it.....I recently removed all my fish and did hypo for 10 weeks and left my display fallow....now ich is gone no matter how much I stress out my fish...am also very careful with frags as far as letting the water they were in into my tank

i just had a bad icy outbreak the other members are correct the best thing is to have a QT tank around and take the fish out and place him in it the garlic looks like it helps because it helps the fish build up a tolerance to the parasite but it will still be in the tank
