Hello Everyone,
I have been confused trying to figure out right powerhead for my 75 RR tank. There is currently Soft corals and LPS. I have a Jaebo 40 currently running

I am looking something to either compliment this JB40 or replace

Option 1
2 x MP10 wireless

Option 2
1 x MP10 non wireless- $230

Option 3
1 x MP40w (which would replace JB40)

Any of you guys currently have a 75 G deep blue rimless with vortech pumps? open for suggestions/ opinions

I have a w40 and mp10 (which just died on me). My choice would be just an ecotech mp40. Keep in mind you can't control the jabeao40 speed, so for a 75rr, in my opinion, it causes way too much movement. You have more control with the mp40. It also depends on your rock work, my rock work is very open, so one pump on one end of the tank is enough.

love my mp40wes... highly suggest the 40... but not sure if running one 40 at full blast would b as nice as 2 10's ... if you doing lps and softies i might say 2 10's just to keep things moving a bit, and with the sync it would be nice on the 75 cuz its got that center overflow.... i dk... just a suggestion i guess... im a fan of ecotech.. no wires in the display? sign me up!

If you speak with Ecotech or know your glass thinkers MP10 will work on a 75g but without the padding. That's what Ecotech support told me and it's worked fine for the past 3yrs with issue.

mp40wes = 425 (2) mp10wes = 235 each..(470 total) ... is $45 really that big of a jump to grip the extra pump? i think having the extra flow would b worth it... PS- u can run an mp10 on that glass, u just don't need the spacer...

Hi guys my glass is 3/8 thick the maker of my tank is deep blue 75 edge series

I'm a newbie and looking to set-up something similar to what you have Oneilwiz. How much rock do you have in your set-up and I like your stand. What kind is it?

Sorry I don't have an opinion on the powerheads but I will be following you to see which set-up you go with. Good luck.
