I need more water circulation in the back part of my tank. Can the magnet of a wp40 that usually sits outside the water can submerge in water? I want to add 1 to the back overflow.

It should hold. I am not sure if the outside magnet is protected to prevent corrosion. You might be able to coat it with epoxy or use a mag float.

Thats how I have mine - over 2 years now..I hope it's ok

is the outside magnet submerged in the water? also how often/ when was the last time you check to if there was any rust?

HAve mine fully submersed for almost a year now,haven't noticed any rust,the magnets for the inside of the tank and the one for outside look both identical to me ..

No rust - I think we're good.

I just put mine in a zip lock bag then put it in the overflow
But as kres said they do look identical

Does the ziplock let water in over time?
