I lost some expensive fish in my tank. So I bought a QT for my fish. But I have ICh in my tank so after I QT my fish they sometimes get ich. I use garlic in the food when I feed. And i would say that at least 80 percent success rate in this way with my fish now. The QT helps but it is not 100 % but nothing in life is. IF you have the space then you should Get one. It will save you money in the long run and may prevent some fish from dieing which should be the main reason from dieing
