Quarantine question

I'm all about QT, wouldn't have it any other way. The question I have is, my cousin is giving me a blue throat trigger. He has been in his system for quite some time, what is the protocol in this situation? I'm def going to put him in the QT, but do I need the full 6-8 weeks? Should I just do it to de-stress the fish. He's coming from a FOWLR to my reef (72bow) only fish in my system are a pair of clowns & a falco hawk. Any opinions welcome.

In this case, you can usually just QT for 2 weeks and see if any symtoms break out.

The blue throat trigger can get aggressive. I had two, it start chewing little little fishes to half and kill them. Just watching him or if fishes start missing.
