I wouldn't even consider a SW tank without a Flame Angel and/or Coral Beauty.. I have 4 Flames & a CB right now...
IME Bicolor and Lemonpeel can both be hard to keep, and I don't recommend them to anyone.

Genicanthus angels would also a good choice.

my bicolor is 1.5 years in my 55 and very happy and eats great

Genicanthus angels are generally the safest angel to have in a reef tank. but these fish can easily reach 6" plus. generally not good to have different species unless a large tank, with several hiding spaces and cove's. google copps

dwarf angel for my 75 gallon, a flame angel, bicolor angel, coral beauty, lemon peel. If I happen to be unlucky and the angel I choose has a taste for corals, they'll have to find a new home.

What have your experiences been with these types of angels? Are any of them more prone to nip at corals than others?

Thanks

imo, flame>coral beauty>lemon peel&bicolor. pair of the same species may have less bickering than two of the different ones.

in my old 75 gal, i had a flame, a coral beauty, and a keyhole living peacefully for a year or so. some chasing every now and then but there were enough caves and nooks and crannies for them to be somewhat separated. they never touched any corals. one day the keyhole jumped and was replaced with a lemonpeel hybrid......that was a costly mistake. lost a lot of zoa's, brains, and torches. not only just the lemonpeel, the flame and coral beauty all of a sudden joined in. they "learned" the taste for corals from the lemonpeel!!!
finding them new home sounds easier than it actually is.......you may have to take out all the rocks to catch them. that was what i had to do.

genicanthus angels (bellus, watanabei, japanese swallow tail) are a better bet for being reef safe but they do get big....>6-8".
i also had a small cherub that seem to be harmless to corals.

So I got a flame angel and a coral beauty angel. I've had them for a little over a day. They haven't touched a single coral. Great, right? No, they're too busy fighting to care about my corals. It looked like an even match at first but my flame angel is definitely the tougher one. He's such a d**k. The coral beauty has taken refuge in a space between my overflow and a powerhead but my flame is not content with the remaining 4 ft of space in the tank. My foxface keeps turning brown and throwing it's spines up. Good thing I have a lid on my tank or I may have lost my bartlett anthias or helfrichi firefish which tried to jump when they got too close to the action. I'm hoping it stops soon. I don't know whether to try to remove the flame and put him in my sump for a couple days to let the coral beauty establish some territory? They're both about 2.5" in size. Any recommendations? Just let them sort it out?
