I have a 46 gallon mixed reef tank and i'm relatively new to spa, not really. But I kinda ignored the warnings with keeping leather corals and sps together and i believe my large toadstool caused most of my corals in my tank to bleach. I got the leather out and threw some carbon in but its been about two weeks now, and the sps still isn't coming back, no polyps are showing, receding slightly, and pale color.

Paramters
PH: 8.2
nitrates:5ppm and stable
calcium: 500
alk: 9
ammonia and nitrite: 0

I also have some LPS and zoos bleaching on me. It seems like the bleaching stopped but everything is kinda in a stand still and I've been doing 5 gallon water changes every other day.

I tried the Red Sea liquid phosphate remover and had a problem with bleaching
Thank god everything pulled through haven't had any problems with my leathers harming anything and I have quit a few with Lps and sps that's the only input I. Have since I've only been in it for a year now.

so a 4 gallon sump + a 30 gallon tank does not equal 46. that's 34 gallons - water displacement from your rock. you probably only have about 25 gallons of water in your system I would stop using the remover until you figure out the dosage

You are right sir that's where I ran into a problem I dosed phosphate remover for 110 gallons right after I did I realized it don't have that much water with all the rock i have. A 50% water changed right away and I got lucky
