Nice tank, I'm a little surprised u had tough time with the 90 g reason y it's a little more for giving when it comes to nitrates compared to a small tank which can get high nitrates fast, best of luck.

Welcome back!

I use chemipure elite (carbon and phosban in a bag). Great product!
Turn your bioball section into a fuge. Get a small light (I love the JBJ Nanoglo) and run it on the reverse schedule of your main lighting.

Skip intank media chamber, just make something out of eggcrate! It will be cheaper and most likely work better! I have intank media chambers in each of my solanas and I wish I had gone with a simple eggcrate design. You want a section for filtermedia (ie chemipure elite) and a section for cheato, and maybe a section for some rock rubble (rock rubble may just trap detrius). Depending on the design, you may also be able to have filter floss (blue/white pad) on top if the eggcrate design to catch whatever is in the water.

Hope this helps!

You could build the baskets out of egg crate like mentioned but the Intank baskets aren't that expensive and they look a lot better than egg crate. Just my opinion. Usually get a coupon from intank every so often would be more than glad to pass it along since I no longer have my cube. Pm me your email.

Welcome back. Wish I had some coral to get you started. I had a biocube for years and loved (love) it. I have a CPR SR3 protein skimmer in the second chamber and it works really well. Also upgraded to MJ 1200.
