hey all, Its been a week since I put together a Tisbe & Trigger pod tank. I used a 10 gallon tank, 5x5 squares of corrugated plastic for shelter, and an air stone.

Question is, I know they need phyto for food but I am not getting into phyto culturing right now. So I went to the LSF and picked up Reef Nutrition Phyto Feast.

Can someone recommend a feeding schedule for the phyto feast? Iv been doing 1 or 2 drops every day or so.

Are the tisbe and trigger pods in separate containers/divided? I am going to start my culture soon with the same desire of tisbe & trigger but my phyto culture is nannochlorposis which doesn't sound like it is the best option for trigger pods.

From what I read, you can just throw in some flake food to feed your trigger population.

It's not hard to keep a phyto culture going.

I do have both species of pods in the same 10gallon tank. I did a lot of google searching to make sure they could co-exist and didn't find anything against it. Amphipods are another story as they can eat smaller copepods.

I have a pellet food by Fluval called Multi Veggie that contains spiraling algae. I have been doing one or two pellets a week with supplementing the Reef Nutrition phyto feast of 1 or 2 drops every other day. Not sure if this is too much though.

I don't really have much to contribute since I haven't raised copepods, but I am curious, are you guys raising them for food for fishes?

I've been considering purchasing some from online, but they tend to be pretty expensive when you include shipping. My tank has pretty bare rock, and even with adding in some LFS rock and sand, I'm just not seeing a ton of life.

If you ever have some spare batches that you need to get rid of, I'm sure you could find willing buyers around here...

one of the main reasons for doing this for me is to provide a natural food source for my mandarin and wrasse. an added benefit is they are another source for a clean up crew and add to bio diversity in the small crevices of the rock work.
