it has been a week and my cleaner wrasse ignores my angels and wrasses. the fishes swim up to it with open pec fins & gills, but the cleaner swims up & down and then swims away. they even chase and follow it, but the cleaner still swims away. it doesn't eat the frozen chum i feed the others. i don't want it to starve. is there a "normal" adjustment or break in period? where can i trade him in? what else can i do? any advice is greatly appreciated.

My was cleaning my tangs the first day and my tang would chase him at times. Maybe your fish has no ick, or maybe they just like tangs more :)

Doug unfortunatley many don't acclimate well and perish, but if it's been around a week it's probably eating something...may just need more time to adjust and keep feeding the "chum"... hopefully it's cleaning behavior will resume...placed mine in the DT and it "cleans" any fish larger than itself from Anthias, Wrasses, Tang and Angels...BTW they won't cure ick because the parasite borrows too deeply, but they do help in cleaning the infected areas, damage etc...
