ruby red dragonet

anyone have any success keeping ruby red dragonet or scooter blenny as their referred as. i had 2 but they died, and heard bad success stories.
beautiful fish but look so fragile. and do they only eat pods or will they eat flake or frozen.

I have 2 of them for about 8 months now and there doing just fine.

pods to start - they can convert over to frozen but if you have too much flow, they won't catch the frozen.

I have mine for a few months, no problem but I am looking for a female to mate them

i will try to gat a male and female, but if they don't extend the dorsal i don't think you can tell the difference.

Scooters are still easier then Mandarins IMO even though they are both dragonets. I bought 2 plain Scooters and one survived and eats mysis, had him about 18 months now. Then I put 2 ruby reds in and also only one survived and also eats mysis, had him about 8 months and they are in the same tank.
I'd say make sure that they are picking at the rocks or sandbed and do not look like they have a sunken belly when you shop for one.

I have a pair and the male eats mysis and pellets. He fight off other fish for pellets. The female only eats frozen.
They dance every night.

i think that the kind of tank mates you keep with them has a lot to do with their survival rate
