What is the right flow in a reef tank

Hey guys just wanted to know everyone's input in what is the right flow in a reef tank. How much flow is needed in a reef tank. What are the right placements of power heads and adjustment of speed in the power head.

All depends on what your keeping. You need to be more specific. I have mostly sps and no sand so my tank is like a whirlpool lol

Hey duke I got a mix reef tank mostly lps but have some sps too

Your corals will give you an indication as to what they prefer. If you have Lps and Sps they should be strategically placed because they are opposites in terms of water flow tolerance..

Pretty much you want flow everywhere. Every direction that is possible
