I'm pretty sure a bunch of people do this but does anyone else besides me name their fish? The most obvious names would probably be NEMO. DORI. Puffer fish named puffy. Foxface named foxy. Not names like that.
I recently bought a pair of bellus angels(awesome deal frank. Thanks again). I call them the Bella Twins. For those that follow wwe wrestling that's nikki and Brie. I know I know. I said pair so that implies male/female. You are correct. The male is named John cena the female is Nikki Bella. Why you ask? Cause there a couple duh. Now I could of went the other route and named the male Daniel Bryan. And the female Brie Bella cause there a couple and there married. But Daniel Bryan is injured right now but my male bellus angel isn't. So that's why
Anyone else with some crazy names for there fish and his they got them please chime in. Curious to hear all

Naming fish is a horrible idea, because as soon as you become attached to one it will inevitably jump out.

That being said, of course my girlfriend and I name all my fish because they're our pets and we love them.

Percula clown pair: Big Barda and Mister Miracle
Pictus Blenny: Benny the Blenny
Pink Streaked Wrasse: Wilbur (my avatar)
Meleagris Leopard Wrasse: Ruby Rhod
Rabbitfish: Peter Peter Nickel Eater

I have 2 kids and a gf that allows the hobby to take over my life... When I get a new fish, it's named before it gets home, but them, not me... I can't complain, but if it were just me, u likely wouldn't name them. We have 5 blue green chromis, all 5 named Fred. A black saddleback clown that my youngest son named DaDa... Who has now mature into a female, go figure. There are a bunch more too. I always try to encourage them to hold off naming them for a few days to until everything is in the clear, as I'm superstitious and I think naming things too soon is a jinx and can result in premature death or carpet-surfing.

My kids love to name EVERYTHING in the tank. WE just found a peanut worm, and they named him Ellie, cause when he sticks out of the rock he looks like an elephant trunk. Our newest addition is a juvenile scopas tang, that is named Mr. Furley...I think naming the fish brings the kids closer to the hobby...When I see my kids teachers, some of them ask me how (and they name a fish) is doing... it's great!
