Seriously now... I keep seeing people here talking about their water parameters and they always say that their NO3 and PO4 are undetectable, yet they are having problems and asking for help. What kits are you guys using that they show nothing at all?
I've been around some of the best guys on this site and I've never seen undetectable, even on their tanks which are 10X better than mine.
Deanos and I had a discussion on nitrates while he was at my house and both of us came to the same conclusion... people say "undetectable", even if they don't test. Yeah, If you don't test, than theoretically, they are undetectable.
I've been honest. My nitrates were over 100 ppm and my PO4 was so high that even on a crap Salifert test kit, there was not a shade of blue dark enough to figure out exactly how high my PO4 really was.
Be honest with your water quality readings. It makes it easier for others to help you.
