Rust color on RO/DI Carbon

noticied during a water change that the carbon section (the second one) looks to have a little bit of rust coming from it. is that normal? i'll post a picture when im home tonight but was wondering if any of you had heard of this

Is it really rust or is it the brown stuff coming from the (old) sediment cartridge?

i honestly dont know. i saw it while doing laundry and then my attention span lost focus. im gonna look into it tonight and see what i find

Change your sediment filter...it can't hold anymore stuff so it goes to your carbon block. Happens to me when I get lazy changing sediment filter. Btw....that's not rust

It's normal if your sediment is 5 micron and your carbon is 1 micron...

Even if they are the same, the ratings are nominal...
