It doesn't matter how deep it is total if you're concerned about the top. The depth only matters in terms of what you want to keep at the bottom. 4 inches below the water is 4 inches below the water in any tank. The only downside of the sunpod is the short legs. You wont have a problem if you hang the light about 10 inches or so above the tank. At the height the legs keep it at you don't get a good spread until about a 6 inch depth.

another question is.....if the light is on the legs...im afraid the light would be too much for the top corals....so im guessing i cant put anything on the top because they will melt?.....with that said....if i got a sls tek light with t-5 ho bulbs.....should i get 4 bulb or 6 bulb?....6 bulbs would bring the wattage out to 234 watts....bare with me guys....i dont have much experience with lighting and i just want to make a smart purchase

The sunpod comes with 14k lights which really don't need actinic supplementation from T5s or anything else. I think the lack of replies comes from questions being asked that have been answered already, in this thread!

haha...sorry fritz.....just cant decide....wish there was a place where i can see the lights in person....that would definetly justify my decision.
fritz...got any pics of the upper half of the tank..mainly with the sunpods in action?
