Because my budget doesnt allow it. I would love to be able to get hooked up from the guys at MR. I even posted a previous thread about it. But for the amount of rock I need I cant pay $5 a lb.

The site I listed above has lr for $2.40 a lb for 2 50lb boxes. Ive never heard of them so that is why I am asking.

I got rock a while ago from Foster & Smith while they were running a special. I got 45 lbs for $80. The shipping was killer but the rock was the best I've seen. Full of animals and encrusted all over with coralline and sponges.

From the site:

I read all the fine print. That means: 100lbs x 2.45= $245 + $85= $330.

$330 sounds much better than $500.

I understand what some of you are saying. Unfortunately I just bought a house over the summer. I have a limited budget that I have to use wisely. If I overspend I will end up like all of the guys you see on RC selling their tanks, equipment, rock and corals at discounted prices. Thats just not going to happen to me!
