I'm setting up a 73 gallon tank ( 47"x20"x21") and debating whether to buy the gyre 130 or 150? I heard that the 130 has an extra piece to prevent the resonating noise. The tank will be mixed reef.
If you recommend the 150, did they come up with a new model that has the extra piece that reduces the resonating noise?

150 is too big, 130 will be more than enough, i have a 150 on a clients 180 filled with rock and it does the whole thing only pump on the tank other than the main pump and skimmer pump lol

Definitely 150, if it's too strong you can always turn it down. The 130 might just be cutting it too close- power wise...
