Top 10 Reef stores in NYC area?

Ok, so I am curious to see a list of what people consider to be the top stores in the NYC area. Please list your favorite stores and a quick description of why they are your favorite. Whether 1, 3 or 10... If we get enough stores listed it would be neat to put a list together.

I am doing this so that I can go visit the top ten. ;-) Get a few friends together in the car and spend a day driving from store to store.

Yeah, but what are MR USER favorites? I do visit MR vendors, but I want to know which stores my fellow MR members feel are the best. Hey, this list can also be used by other vendors to see what it is that customers like about them and others so that they can improve...

I visited Reef Shoppe during their big sale. Well stocked but I need to go back when it is not so crazy. Where is New York Reef Aquatics?

Ny reef aquatics is in queens.
I just left there.

They just got a nice shipment of bali sps. Beautiful.

Great corals, they are still building up the business, but always great stock, clean and very nice people.

Thanks, I will add it to the short list of places to visit. I want to find a place to call "home".. Now that I am getting my buddy into the hobby I am inspired to start my 40 over and get the small 5 gallon tank I set up for my girls stocked. (Although I will probably still sell my 180, can't afford to do it right.)

I havent made it out to NY Reef aquatics or The Reef Shoppe yet. Was gonna check out the reef shoppe today but wife deboed the car from me lol.

The only "complaint" I havr about the Reef Shoppe is that you can't see them from the street, we drove past it like three times. LOL But it was surprisingly well stocked.

I have been there several times. Nice place, but they are INSANELY expensive.

Nothing beats pop corals nothing. For example a plain blastamusa is $40 in Mnahattan aquariums. Same coral is like $15 from pop. Just saying

I don't mind paying a small premium for quality... At some of these places they are cheap but it is because rent is lower and they don't quarantine at all. (I bought a sailfin at a black Friday sale and it was a goner by morning) But I paid $15 for it instead of $25. But Manhattan Aquarium is (was?) 3-4X what I would expect to pay...

I don't go to any other location.
The Cheapest price on livestock, Affordable prices on corals. Best dry goods & livestock food.
I just can't waste my time and go to another store if I know they can't compete with the prices or customer service I receive at THE REEF SHOPPE

reef shoppe for me is number 1 at the moment, ive heard a lot of good things about pop coral and one day wanna check it out. I do not recommend Manhattan aquarium the staff is very nice but the prices aren't

I will probably try to drive out to Pop Coral sometime in the next week or two. Definitely will go back to the Reef Shoppe.

haven't been to pop's, but definitely visiting them once my exams are over. visited reef shoppe once and loved them, quality to good and prices are the best for broke *** college students lol. just don't wanna pay the whitestone bridge toll or take the long drive around nyc to avoid the toll.

but in queens, i really like ny reef aquatics out of pets aquatic, fishtown usa, kissena aquariums, KHC aquariums.

Pricing aside,, I noticed every store has something different. When I get back to working days I'll make sure to hit up Reef Shop, Pop, Harrymania and whatever store Nelson is at
