I sold my 130 because it broke in 3 weeks of use. I don't have time for equipment like that.

I sold mine after 4 months because the flow reduced drastically and it required cleaning and maintenance that I wasn't planning to do so often. So after I unclip all the cables and took it out of the tank for the first time, I decided that I'm not putting it back in.
Went back to using Vortechs.

I returned mine because it had to many issues. I went back to using my normal Jebaos and am a lot happier. my brother stop using his because overtime it just pushed less and less water. After a few months you couldn't even see movement at the surface of the water. I am going to pick up the Jebao crossflow when it comes out. I was never disappointed with any of their products.

+1.
I got 3 (2) broke.
Not 100% sure, if i got Cyno from those pumps.
Pour design. Very tide clearance between propels and grills, even a snail or small rock may damage the pump.
I sale it (trade) i go back in MP 40.

After about 2 months it needed cleaning because the flow was reduce. I took it out and soaked it in 50-50 vinegar water like they recommended for 5 hours and the plastic warped a bit and the Gyre started making a lot of noise after that. It was also a pain to put back together, the A and B cages are marked by tiny little letters that I needed a magnifying glass to find.

I went back to my mp40 which I go up to 6 months without cleaning.

I see a lot of people bashing the Jebao "gyre" as cheap chinese knock-off. Well the Maxspect Gyre feels like chinese knockoff to me. When I open a Vortech pump or a Vertex skimmer, it feels like a well-made product, not the Maxspect Gyre...

This is exactly what my issue was. I wire tie everything and having to undo all my cable conduits to take out the gyre pump for cleaning was not part of my plan. Cleaning my Vortechs is definitely 6-12 months in-between. And even then, its just taking out the wet side and soaking it in vinegar and running a maxi-jet facing it.

You guys have some bad luck... And if you guys needed cleaning after a month or two then I think there's something wrong with your tanks...

You are indeed correct (to an extent), my 120g was 6 months old at the time and was filled with GHA and then cyano. All this means is that the gyre wasn't a good fit for me then. It clogged up very quickly. GHA also started growing on it as well before I decided to take it out.

It doesn't mean that the gyre is not ideal for those that have an established and "clean" tank. It was just not the right pump for me at that time.

What is GHA and what causes it?

GHA - green hair algae. Basically from Nutrient imbalance cause by either overfeeding. More nutrients went into the tank than what I was exporting.
But in my case, I want to emphasize that this was new tank, new live rocks, new sand, etc...That means diatoms bloom, then GHA, then cyano...at least for me that was the case.
