foam blocks and nitrates?

Will putting a foam block to block microbubbles lead to nitrate increase? thinking of using the white 10 inch bbrick sized blocks that come with freshwater filter

just clean it very frequently and nitrates wont be an issue

i'm adding 2 small ones to help with the bubbles when i do my sump. I have 3 blocks currently in my nano and i have no nitrate problems. Juts have to clean them weekly/bi-weekly, take em out and squeeze/rinse them in RO water.
