Who owns the Echotech product and Neptune Apex controller?* I own the Apex controller, MP40, and the Radion lights.* I am looking to invest in a new return pump and am think of going with 2 Vectra M1's.* A couple of reasons for the multiple return pumps are, redundancy and control over the individual returns.
*
I am debating on getting a Reeflink (Echotech claims that the Vectra will never be controlled by the WXM, or anything from Neptune).* I love the idea of having all of my equipment controlled by one controller, for the simple reason of maintenance.* When I perform maintenance on the tank, I have a feed cycle set to go off for 30 minutes so I can do what I need to do (ex. water changes).
*
With the WXM I will not be able to control the variable DC pump via the apex module like with the Reeflink.* I will be able to control it via the Reeflink on a schedule (feeding, night mode, etc...), or the controller that comes with the pump manually and adjust the flow as I wish.
*
I think that once I fine tune each return line, that should not be a problem.* What I like with the Reeflink is during maintenance, the pump could gradually slow down, and then gradually speed up, not spooking the fish.
*
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
*
Thanks!
