I got with a bag of frsh clams to feed my fishand try to catch my interuptus angel since he start nipping on my sps corals..yes, after two years

i wash out this clam and place it the fish trap.After 2-3 min i saw something crowling from the rock (not a new rock,my old rock).Looking like a mantis shrimp..but not..It was this monster:

when i saw his head i almost scream...i called my daugther to see this thing..
well..how can i take him out..i took some corals out and had to take this big piece of rock together with this worm..of cause my tank looks like a mess,but i had no choice.. this thing is about 2' long..ugly as hell...god knows how long he been living in my tank or maybe i introduce him with a new rock or reef ceramics

wow, he can share a tank with shauns worm gustino, it's the same type.

good thing you got him out of the tank mike, I don't think they are quite reef freindly worms ;)

Do u think i touch this monster..lolol.. i use my long tongs..u should see this monster..ugly ....
do u guys think he can kill a fish? like small wrasses

That's a good photo to reinforce always wearing gloves in the water. As I drilled into my daughter, there's nothing in there that can't hurt you or kill you. I'm skipping the side order of sausage with breakfast this morning...............

i saw this thread last night and it made me think. what if i have some of these. they can go for long periods of time w/o being seen or even being suspected

I remember a thread on a diffrent board of a guy that had one bigger then this it was living in his PVC rock stucture. He never added any new rock for it to come on so his thoughts were that it grew that bug in his tank from a baby worm which is very possible
