today i got a quote frm my LFS for a AGA reef ready 120 gal (48x24x24)w/dual megaflows for $580 is this a reasonal price it seems kind of high to me.

It's close, maybe $55 more than it should be. There is very little markup on tanks cause they get that back on everything else.

Did you look at the Oceanic Tech tank series? Very nice for a standard manufactured tank. No braces, 1/2" glass, ABS splash guard (like euro-bracing but with ABS vs glass), low profile wide centered overflow box, black rear glass pane and most importantly, front low iron lead glass pane. Plus the no center brace is a biggie too.
I saw the 90g at an LFS last weekend and had the owner lookup the largest tank that Oceanic makes in this series. It was a 120g.

I saw the 90 at an LFS as well this weekend, and they are really nice tanks. Euro type bracing, a nice overflow that doesn't take up much realestate. Event he stand for them is nice..with side acess doors, it was something like $1200 for the tank and stand.

A local fish store by me priced on with 2 corner overflows and the kits for $560. If you want to call him pm me I'll give you the store number.
