You don't want one and your LFS shouldn't be selling them.

Like all nudibranchs, they are very specific feeders - there is only one thing they will eat and if you don't provide that one thing they will starve to death. No exceptions.

The exact food for the Chromodoris bulockii is unknown but is thought to be a particular species of indo-pacific sponge.

MattM is once again my favorite LFS owner as he explains the wisdom of not keeping nudibranchs.

They would be in every tank in every shop for their spectacular coloration....

were it not for the fact you cannot possibly keep them.

Even the aiptasia eaters will clean all the nasty anemones out then go on to starve to death.

Unless you want to watch beautiful animals die in your care, stay away from them.

It's painful and sad.

Thanks once agian guys . I kinda figured that was the case but not sure. This particular LFS is bad about buying things that will not live . This is why I come here first.. Thank you

I only pointed it out because I did a lot of research too.

Nudi's are probably the most spectacularly colored marine organisms, and that's REALLY saying something, as we all know.

I wish I had good news for you on that point. I really do.

I want to keep these magnificent creatures too.

Currently I'm limited to having one as my wallpaper on my home PC. Some day perhaps...

too bad the little buggers aren't more opportunistic feeders.

Well, I bought one and was told it fed on algae. It wandered the tank happy for about two weeks and then was gone. Very nice looking, but it won't live.
