Macros must grow well down here in the south. I just tossed a huge bunch last night I cleaned out of the tank.

Seriously tho, there are *many* other macroalgaes besides Caulerpa sp. that will do the trick as well. Chaetomorpha sp., Ulva sp., etc. Check out Inland Aquatic's website for an extensive listing of macroalgaes: http://www.inlandaquatic.com/ . Also, Midland Marine also sells a very good macroalgae for refugiums called Chaetomorpha linum:
However it looks like they're out of stock. Inland also carries this macroalgae btw. Or you could also get some off E-Bay as well. Do a search for macroalgae.
Alright,if you give me an addy,I will mail you some, next time I clean out things.I don't know how it ships though,so if that's a bad idea, well it's back to the trash can....Joey
My problem is my fish store keeps trying to order some but customs stops it from enter southern california, its either illegal in orange county or southern california altogther
Thanks for showing me that website...yep I think thats why I cant get macro algae,....does anyone know if there is something else out there that is close to that?
