I know I'm asking a lot of elegans questions lately...
To those of you with success (it opens nicely, etc) keeping the purple-tipped (for more than say 2-3 months).
What combo of lighting does it get?
*Halide? wattage and color temp
*NO, HO, VHO? actinic , regular daylight white (5000-6500k), other (color temp)
*PC? again, wattage and color temp (6700k, 7100k, or 10,000k, etc) or actinic? (7100k blue is not actinic by the way).
*Where in tank is the coral? And if you use halide:
How far from the halide? (How far under the water surface and how far left or right of the halide is the coral?) Also, how far above the water surface is the halide. I know, kinda specific. But mine had a really bad reaction to a kinda small change in lighting.
